Catherine was appointed as an independent governor in July 2025. She is a member of the Audit and Risk Committee.

Catherine is a seasoned internal audit and assurance leader with over 20 years’ experience in financial services, specialising in governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance. She has held senior roles across complex, highly regulated organisations, providing independent assurance over strategic transformation, operational resilience, and regulatory change – strengthening control environments and enabling sustainable success.

A Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, Catherine is known for mentoring high-performing teams and building collaborative stakeholder relationships. She brings a values-led approach to leadership, rooted in her Kenyan heritage and the spirit of ubuntu, championing women to thrive through inclusive leadership and collective empowerment.

Beyond her professional work, Catherine serves on her local District Church Council and is actively involved with Karibuni Children Trust, a UK charity transforming young lives in Kenya through education.

Catherine is inspired by Âé¶¹Íø’s mission to create a fairer society. She is passionate about lifelong learning, inclusive knowledge creation, and purposeful partnerships – and looks forward to contributing to Âé¶¹Íø’s vision through strategic insight, strong governance, and a commitment to equity and innovation.
