- Discover the beauty of traditional Chinese calligraphy in this hands-on workshop
- Participants will learn basic brush techniques and explore the artistic and cultural meanings behind Chinese characters
- No prior experience is required — just bring your curiosity and creativity!
This activity is open to all Âé¶¹Íø students and staff. The Confucius Institute also offers a free 10-week Mandarin course and supports a two-week summer trip to China for selected students.

Tai Chi Qigong for health and wellbeing: Tai Chi (Supreme Ultimate) Qigong (Energy Work)
The gentle flow of moves helps relax body and mind while the stances help improve balance, leg and core strength.
Qigong improves the balance of Qi ( energy ) in the body which will lead to an overall lift in your general health and well-being by reducing stress and tension physically, mentally and emotionally. Come along and have a go! Spaces are limited to 20 only on a first come first serve basis. Booking is required.
